Job Description

This internship is designed for Tribal Team Members interested in exploring career paths available at CGRC, specifically in Hospitality.

The Intern will have the opportunity to gain approximately 650 hours (6 months, part-time) of observation and shadowing necessary to understand the duties of the positions. The Intern will rotate through specific departments spending 2 to four weeks in each. Additionally, Interns will participate in computer training, LEAP trainings to gain leadership skills, and may acquire trade-specific certifications(s), or attend off-site trainings, in order to enhance their skills and broaden their service knowledge.

The Intern will be responsible for participating in and completing all assigned learning/observation tasks while being introduced to CGRC careers.

Upon successful conclusion of the Career Entry Intern Hospitality program, Interns will receive a certificate of completion.

Job Responsibilities

    • The Intern will work in partnership with assigned staff/mentor as an observer, to learn the types of work performed in each role, the purpose of the roles, while gaining skills and work experience. Interns will not perform work independently.
    • Shadowing and Observations may include data entry, completing and processing paperwork, filing, answering telephones, calculating data, scheduling appointments, auditing data, taking notes during meetings, answering questions, presenting sales materials, providing food and beverage service, observing pool activities, processing sales transactions, cleaning guest rooms and hotel public areas, washing, chopping, dicing food products, and guest observations and assistance.

    Job Requirements

    • Must be an enrolled PRCI Member.
    • Must have basic computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel products.
