Responsible for the overall repair and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical slot machines under the direction of the Lead Slot Technician.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members. Perform excellent customer service at all time.
  • Possesses thorough knowledge of moving mechanical parts of slot machines, electronics and electrical functions.
  • Understands and carries out detailed instructions.
  • Uses hand truck and jack equipment to move equipment.
  • Pushes, pulls and maneuvers slot machines for the purpose of installation, repair or and maintenance.
  • Maneuvers up to 100 pounds independently.
  • Instructs Slot Technician Trainee on the technical aspects of slot machine repair.
  • Performs immediate, periodic and overhaul maintenance on gaming machines, equipment, hardware and peripheral attachments.
  • Identifies and isolates electronic faults at board level and refers to Slot Technician II.
  • Assists floor personnel upon demand from time to time in guest service and dispute.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the use of test metering devices as well as use of all slot test and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Possesses the ability to read and use reason when viewing schematics and/or trouble shooting flow charts.
  • Maintains a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Performs any reasonable request made by management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED required. Electronics experience and/or degree required. Must have a minimum of 10 months experience as a Slot Tech Trainee and pass the essential skills and knowledge testing.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to Customers and other Team Members of the company.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.

Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The Team Member is frequently required to stoop over, kneel, or crouch.

The Team Member must be capable of stooping over, kneeling and crouching while repairing slot machines.

The Team Member must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Must be able to maneuver up to 300 pounds independently using the hand truck or cart.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
